ISA project no 10 (preparation of mo:mo)

We student of grade 8 got the project name Preparation of Momo. It is project no 10. In this project all the students of grade 8 have participated. Our project teacher are Deepak sir, Khem sir and Aarati mam. All the students and teachers have done their best in this day. We planned to prepare momo on 10 poush and distribute it to whole school. There were around 470 students and teachers. On the first day of our project we wee given some information about project by Deepak sir and Khem sir. On that day we divided the group and we have classified thw works. There were altogether 4 groups. I was in group B. 

Next day our group and group D went for shopping. We bought all the necessary things required for making momo. Group A and C were in cutting department. After shopping we returned to school and group A and C started to cut vegetables. In evening we make dough. It was my first time making dough. Next day which is momo making day I came school at 8:30. After that I started to make momo. Some of my friends were making kima but I was preparing dough. Deepak sir taught me to make momo. I learned slowly to make momo. My friend swastika also helped me. After that we called students of every class turn by turn and give them momo. Me and my friend Swastika was reporter on that day. I have a lot of fun while reporting. At 4:00 we finished distributing momo. We were given good comments. Most of the students liked it/. We eat momo at 4:30. After eating group B and C was in washing department. I washed many utensils. Group A and D were in cleaning department. They were cleaning whole the school whereas I was busy n cleaning utensils with my friends. I was tired also but I enjoyed washing dishes with my 
friends.

All the students and project teachers  have decided to buy lactogen for small children. Altogether we bought 25 packets of lactogen. Before the day of 
distribution 8 students along with 3 teachers went to buy lactogen. On that day they bought 17 packets and the remaining packets were brought by teachers in the evening. Next day we went to distribute lactogen

to orphanage. Our vice-principle Binu Mathema also bought some woolen caps and shocks for orphans. We distributded the lactogen and clothes and we even asked some questions. Answers were given in a great way. We even distributed chocolates to small children. While interviewing the volunteer we came to know that children of 3 days to 19 years old are staying in that orphange. After distribution we returned to our school. I felt so happy after distributing the lactogen to orphans.  

At last this was one of my memorable and best project in my life. I like to thank our project teacher Mr.Deepak Shrestha for choosing such an interesting project for us. After doing this project I have learned many things.

Tour to Dhading

Firstly when I heard that we are going tour to Dhading for 2 days I was so much excited to go there. The day when I got notice after reaching home I immediately asked permission with my mother to go. My mother told me to go and enjoy some time with my friends. We went there at 21 and 22 of mangshir ( which was Friday and Saturday). I was so much excited to go there.

On Friday I woke up early in the morning and I took a bath. After that I eat my meal and I went to my friend house. I reached there at 8:30 am. After reaching there we went to school. We started our journey at 11:00 am in morning. We sat at the last sit of our school bus. There was five students and one teacher with us at last sit. We enjoy a lot while we were at bus. We sang and dance at bus. Altogether there was 40 students and 4 teachers. We reached there at 3:15 pm. After reaching there we were given some instructions by our teacher. Then we choose our tent. In one tent 3 students were allowed

to sit.For Sarita mam there was one tent and for Murari sir and Bijay sir there was one tent. Rajan sir have got one seperate room. Me and my friend Swastika sat at one tent. Then we kept our things at tent and we took lunch. After having lunch we went for evening walk. We have to cross the big bridge but some of my friends were scared of crossing the bridge. After that we went river side. I have a lot fun in river side. We clicked some photos in river side.Then we return to our tent. At night after having dinner we enjoyed a lot by dancing and singing. all of the students and teachers were dancing. At 9:00 pm we eat chicken grilled BBQ. It was so tasty. At 12:00 some

of the students and teachers went to river side. I didn't went there I stayed with my friend at tent. We were having so much of fun. Next morning I woke up at 5:00 am and I told all of my friends to wake up. At 8:00 am we have our breakfast. After having breakfast we went to Chepang village. We walked for 1 to 2 hours. I had a lot of fun in the way to Chepang. We clicked a group photo in Chepang village. After returning from there we have our meal. Then we went to river side to play. We almost play for 1 hour. Many competitions

were held but I didn't even win one game also. We played with water and boys were playing volleyball and football. At 2:00 we return from there. At bus most of the students 

were sleeping because all were tired. We reached at 6:30 pm. I was so tired that I went to sleep immediately after reaching home.

It was one of the best and memorable memories of my life. Those who didn't went have missed a great opportunity to spend good time with classmates. This day I will not forget in my whole life.

Tihar 2075

                                                Tihar

 Tihar is one of the major Hindu festivals that is celebrated for five days in October or early November every year.It is the festival of lights that brings the worship Laxmi goddess of wealth along with the worship of dog, crow, and cow respectively. On the last day, brothers are greeted and blessed by the sister.

First day of Tihar is called Kag Tihar. In this day we worshipped crow. I gave some food to crow that day. Second day is called Kukur tihar. On this day I worshipped dog. The crow and the dog is regarded as the envoy of the Yama the God of Death. On third day, I worshipped cow in the morning and at evening we performed Laxmi Puja at our house. Our house was decorated with candles, lights flowers. My mother cooked Selroti to offer Goddess Laxmi ( God of Wealth).Some of the children came to play Deusi bhailo in our home. In return my mother gave them some selroti and some amount of money.

Fourth day is called Ghobardhan puja. On this day I worshipped ox in morning. Last day is called Bhai tika. In this day at morning I took bath and went temple with my mother.After coming from temple I received tika from my brother and I also put tika to my brother. I gave some presents and sweets to my brother and in return gift he gave me a gift and money. I was very happy with the present. We clicked some photograph too.

 Morever, Tihar  is celebrated with lights, lighting the butter lamp every where in the house. Children and elder enjoy fire crackers, go door to door singing Deusi and Bhailo (traditional Tihar song and dance) and enjoy the Selroti.

Dashain 2075

                                                  Dashain

Dashain is the biggest festival of all the Nepalese people. It is celebrated  for 15 days with a great joy and happiness.Ghatasthapana is one of the most important days on the Nepali calendar. It comes each year in late September to early October. It literally means installing a pot which symbolizes Goddess Shakti. On the first day, we spreaded Barley over the sand. When it grows, the young plant is called jamara which is used in main day tika.

The seventh day of Dashain is called Fulpati. This day I wake up early and I went temple with my parents. After coming from temple the head of family my grandfather brought fulpati inside our home.All the family members celebrate a fulpati in a great way. After fulpati it comes Asthami. On this day Our family sacrifice one goat to the temple of Goddess Durga and Kali. After sacrificing animal we return to home. I have a lot of fun with my brother, sister, cousin by playing cards and swing. I also fly kite with my brother. The tenth day of Dashain is called Tika. In this day I received tika from my elders. It was really fun having all the family members together. This day has been always my best day during Dashain time. After receiving tika from my elders I went my maternal uncle's house to put tika. Their I received tika from my grandfather and maternal uncle. I played swing with my sister also.

It was unforgetable day for me. It was really good time to have all family members and relatives together.

Teej

Hi I am sushmita Mainali. Today i am going to write about teej.

Teej is a festival celebrated by Nepali women, for the long life of her husband and lo

ng and firm relationship between them until the death this life and all the lives to come.

Teej is observed for marital happiness, well-being of spouse and children and purification of own body and soul. Teej is  the most famous festival among Nepali women. 

The folk music and dances add more flavor to traditional values of Teej. It is fascinating to see women, in “Red” dancing and singing on the street, going to temple in holy and fasting mood. Teej is also called Hari Talika Teej. This festival is celebrated by Nepali Hindu women all across the world.

My father name is uddhab Mainali. He is the head of my family. He fulfill all my demand. He works day and night for my better future. I am lucky person to get a daddy like u. I thanks to god to get such a daddy like you.  I  show your respect not only in father day or your birthday i show your respect always. He is very kind and helpful person. You are my hero . I love you my daddy.
